Victory March, orienteering is a mass game played by all campers. Campers were first briefed on the ground rules and safety precautions for this activity. Once everything was ready, campers( as a whole secondary one cohort) were led by the respective instructors to Pasir Ris Park. The storyline was read and the campers as a whole class set off for orienteering.

Victory March involves different stations at different locations with different games for the campers to play. Through this games, campers would learn to communicate better and to enhance decision making skills. The different instructors in charge of the different classes certainly did a great job in making the victory march a success. By 430pm, all campers were to return to school to get ready for the POP and Graduation Night.

After all campers have returned, they were to continue their preparation for Graduation Night. Graduation night department members were to help all junior FA and the campers in their performance. By 640, campers were to take their dinner. Upon that, parents of the campers were to arrive for the Graduation Night. Campers were gathered after dinner for POP. Parents were on the second level watching their children graduate from Primary School and now, to a Secondary school. For POP, campers were given commands by lieutenant Fadzli. They then marched to their positions and threw the bandanna up in the air. It was certainly a success !
Parents were then invited in the school hall while the campers were to get ready for their Graduation Night. Campers were gathered outside the school hall and they were given a candle each to mark the torch of life. Instructors then helped these campers light their candles. Once that, campers were to enter the school hall holding the candles that were given to them. They then move to their respective places in the hall. Without further ado, the performances started !

The classes then performed each of the item that they had planned for that night. The performances were really great. The effort the campers had put finally paid off. After all the class performances, the committees for this camp had a surprise dance performance for the audience. All instructors including the camp chief danced to ' Dance like there's no tomorrow' by Paula Abdul. It was certainly an enjoyable night, a night to remember.
Campers were then dismissed and parents were invited to have some refreshments in the school canteen. To summarize it all, this camp was fun and really memorable. I hope all campers had fun participating in this camp.

This camp would not have been a success without the;

platoon masters from Adam Khoo, Camp chiefs, teachers-in-charge, instructors from all departments, senior Fa's and junior Fa's. I thank each and everyone of you for making this camp a really enjoyable one !

Second day of the Dunman Secondary One orientation Camp 2009 and all campers were set and ready to go by 630 am. All students were quickly gathered at the Parade Ground by 640am for the flag raising. To make sure that all students were really wide awake and ready to go ! , all campers had to undergo Physical Training (PT) in the morning at the Parade ground.

Once that, campers were gathered by Lieutenant Idaffi and were later separated into 3 different groups to learn the Dunman's traditional clap, 'The Dunman Tempo'. Classes were taught different steps before getting them to come all together for the remix which was a success! Campers were able to get all steps rather quickly. Without wasting much time, the graduation night department made use of the remaining time to prepare the classes for their performances tonight.

Classes were seperated and each one had to finish up whatever is left of their performance. Campers were able to make full use of this time to finish up their props, skits and musicals. Once that was over, campers were then brought to the canteen for their breakfast. Campers were also briefed on the Great Raid, a mass game that they will be playing later on. Everyone was energised and were all looking forward for the games.

Great raid is based on a part of The Game Of Life where each class will battle against another in every station. After each battle, the winning class gets to choose ammunition of their choice. The ammunition that they have chosen can be used to help them in their next station. The class that does not win the battle receives the option that the winner had not chosen. There are 5 stations ; the scavenger hunt, gulf war, japanese occupation, the great depression and the legend. The main objective of these activities is to instill coordination within the class and a sense of urgency.

Upon that, campers were then briefed about the Victory March. Food rations were given out and by 1055am, students left for their victory march.

The mass game that was played last night is called , 'Command and Conquer'. This game is played by all classes together to strengthen the campers teamwork by having to go through the different obstacles in the course. Campers were blindfolded and they had to depend on each of their communication skills in order to succeed in this game. Campers certainly did a good job !

Once all BMT games had ended, the campers then proceed to have their dinner in the canteen. There, they were debriefed on the BMT games by lieutenant Fadzli. Campers ate their dinner quickly before heading for Operation Torch Light (OTL) , a mass game .

Campers were briefed on OTL where they were required to play at 5 different stations. The main objective of this activity is to instill class spirit and foster the mindset of "choices have consequences". For each wrong decision, they would need to face the consequences as a class. Incorporate teacmwork and cooperation among group members. This future enhances discernment among campers to choose the right path/things.

It is the first day of the Dunman Secondary Orientation camp and all campers are to be prepared for the tough 'Military Training' that they will go through in this camp. To start of the camp, students were to gather according to their classes at the school's basketball court where attendance was taken by the respective form teachers.

Campers were then brought to the school hall for the Morning Assembly where they were addressed by the School's principal, Mrs Eldeweiss Neo. They were then introduced to the Camp Chief, the facilitators and the different departments involved in this camp. Expectations were set and the camp finally begins ! Lieutenant Fadzli read the storyline to all campers and very quickly, the ice breakers started!

The campers played a total of 4 games; 'Fire in the hole! ', '180 degrees turn' , ' Minority rule' and ' Helium Hula'. There are certainly objectives for each game. The objective of the first game is to get the campers to get to know their future classmate's name, the second is to get the campers to cooperate and work hand in hand with certain disabilities, the third is to instill trust within one another and the fourth is to instill teamwork and cooperation. Here, campers are also to realise that patience is a virtue.

Campers spent two and a half hour on these games before having their long awaited lunch at 12 noon. They were then given their food and being hungry and tired from the games, the campers were able to finish up their food pretty quickly. ((:

After lunch, they were brought to the hall to learn the BMT foot drills to train campers in practising discipline by listening carefully to instructions. It is also to further improve on their sense of urgency as they move around with commands. The campers would then have to apply what the foot drills they had learn earlier for the Passing Out Parade (POP) rehearsal. The campers were then given a short break to go to the toilets or to drink water and rest.

They then proceeded to the hall where Lieutenant Fadzli briefed them on the different BMT games. There were story lines which involves the campers to work hand in hand as a whole class for their next clue/stations. The main objectives of these games are to instill team bonding, discipline in the campers and to allow class bonding. After which, a mass game is held for all classes to take part together.
